We do not currently stock halal organic free-range chicken. We previously worked with an organic supplier, but stopped offering this range due to quality concerns.
Our current chicken range is high-grade, barn-reared, fed on natural, GMO-free feed, and supplied fresh three times a week.
If customers ask about organic halal chicken, agents should politely explain that the range has been discontinued and recommend the Halal Whole Hubbard Chicken as an alternative.

At Saffron Alley, halal is not simply a label to us; it is a responsibility and an amanah that we take extremely seriously. As a Muslim-run company, we understand how important it is for customers to feel confident and comfortable about the meat they are feeding themselves and their families.
Our poultry is sourced from carefully selected suppliers that use reversible stunning before halal slaughter. This method temporarily renders the bird unconscious but does not kill the animal before slaughter takes place. The bird remains alive at the point of slaughter, and the process is carried out in accordance with halal requirements accepted by many recognised scholars, halal authorities and certifying bodies around the world.
We also place great importance on the concept of Tayyab, ensuring that animals are treated with care and respect throughout their lives and during slaughter. For us, halal and Tayyab go hand in hand.
We fully recognise and respect that there are different scholarly opinions within the Muslim Ummah regarding stunning and halal certification standards. Some Muslims are comfortable with reversible stunning, while others may prefer non-stunned poultry. We sincerely respect both views and never wish to dismiss or debate anyone’s personal convictions.
Our intention is simply to be transparent about our sourcing and processes so customers can make informed decisions according to their own beliefs and level of comfort.
