If you or someone you're cooking for has an allergy, your safety comes first — here's exactly where to find ingredient and allergen information, and how to check with confidence.
Where to look.
- The product page on www.saffronalley.com lists ingredients and allergen information for each product.
- The product label on the pack you receive is the definitive, up‑to‑date source — always read it, especially for prepared and cured items.
Plain cuts vs prepared products.
- Fresh single cuts (steaks, mince, joints) are simply meat — no declared allergens.
- Cured, cooked & prepared items (deli, sausages, jerky, sauces, marinated lines) can contain allergens. For example, some of our cured and smoked lines contain soy/soya, gluten, milk, mustard, celery or sulphites, and some jerky contains wheat, soy and fish (via Worcestershire sauce). These are illustrations — always read the specific pack, as recipes can change.
A safety‑first principle. Because ingredients and supplier recipes can be updated, the label on your pack always takes precedence over anything else. If you have a serious allergy and can't find what you need before ordering, please contact us, and we'll check the current specification for that product.
FAQs
- Is there pork in anything you sell? No — never. Everything is halal; there is no pork anywhere in our range.
- Which products contain nuts? Some products contain nuts, including baklava, certain Turkish delights, pistachio mortadella, and selected sweets or gifts. Ingredients may change, so please check allergen info on the product page and packaging. Contact us if unsure.
- Can you guarantee no cross‑contamination? Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergen traces. Some items are made or packed in facilities handling nuts and other allergens and may include "may contain" warnings. If you have a severe allergy, please review the allergen information carefully and contact us before ordering.
